Midas Acknowledges the Passing of Founding Executive Director Margaret Miley 

The Midas Collaborative team is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Margaret Miley, one of our founders and the first Executive Director of Midas. Margaret served as Midas’s Executive Director from 2002 to 2016, continuing to support the organization in an advisory role for several years after. Margaret’s visionary leadership laid the groundwork for what would become a statewide movement to promote economic opportunity and financial empowerment through matched savings and asset-building. 

Her dedication and passion were instrumental in shaping the mission and values that continue to guide our work today. While our current team did not have the privilege of working with Margaret directly, we are proud to carry forward the legacy she began, ensuring that every individual and family has the tools and support they need to build lasting economic security. 

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Margaret’s family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her leadership and advocacy.
